As most of you know (all 2 who read this...hi mom), we've been doing some painting in our guest bedrooms. See here and here to refresh your memory. Well these 2 bedrooms are connected by a jack and jill bathroom in the middle and we were sill kind of throwing around ideas for how do paint the bathroom so that it would combine with the 2 different color schemes of the guest rooms. Imagine my surprise when I came home one day to find this. (Well not completely because he didn't quite have the towel holders up yet and it was a little messy, but nevertheless...)

I was so surprised! Alber had painted the entire bathroom the same color we used in this room, and then on top of that, he painted yellow flowers with red petals that we used in this room. It's the perfect combination of the colors used in both rooms and it creates a nice flow between the 2 very differently styled rooms. Isn't he the greatest!

Hoping for an Eternity more!

Who would've thought that such a handsome couple would one day create such an intelligent, beautiful, and thoughtful offspring #3! Why do you think they stopped with me? They knew they had finally gotten it right!

How to be the best wife ever
Ingredients:
I cake mix
strawberries
bananas
cool whip
chocolate sauce (can make up for any missing ingredient...always)
sweet & condensed milk
evaporated milk
1 amazing person (sorry, if you're sub-par this recipe may not work)
Example of amazing person
Step #1
Make Cake (I chose chocolate because it's the best!)
Step #2
Cut cake in half - the long way silly!
Step #3
Mix together sweet & condensed milk and evaporated milk in blender or with mixer
Step #4
Spread sweetened milky mixture on the bottom half of the cake
*Note, this can get messy so it helps to put some paper towels around the edges to soak up the escaping milk
Step #5
Mash Strawberries
Step #6
Add Banana
Step #7
Spread over cake
Step #8
Add chocolate sauce - notice it's lite 50% less calories so you can add twice as much and it's still healthy!
Step #9
Cover with cool whip - also of the lite variety, I'm trying to eat healthy here. *Note: this doesn't have to look pretty, you're just going to cover it up with the second half of the cake anyway.
Step #10 (Wow, I didn't know I had so many steps and I'm not even done yet!
Place second half of cake (As mentioned in step #9) on top of the first, spongy side up.
Step #11
Repeat step #4
Step #12
Cover entire cake with cool whip and decorate as desired.
End Result:
Happy Husband
Best Wife Ever
Happy Birthday Honey!

Your other room is ready!
The GREEN room
We're finally done with our other guest room or as I like to say, the north guest bedroom. (You must say that in your best Mr. Belvediere accent and with your nose slightly tipped up) We painted the top half of the room a light green color

and then I found this really inexpensive wall paper on sale and I just went for it. I know what you're thinking; wall paper is so not in style. I typically think the same, however if you ever have the chance to look at model homes they always have several rooms with the rolled paper contraption proudly taking residence on the once boring/bare walls, so I decided I could successfully consider myself a professional decorator and immitate the same style in my own home. Once we finished putting up the wall paper, (sorry no pictures, I was in my pajamas)I wasn't so sure about how it looked because 2 greens are pretty different.
We continued however and I must say I'm pretty happy with the results. See for yourself, I have a lot of trinkets and stuff on the shelfs so they don't look so bare.
Here's the twin bed next to the closet.
And here's the queen bed.
As you can see, I now have plenty of room for visitors so no excuses!
Now we only have the master bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a hallway to go!

Remember when...

Speedos looked like this?
What happened to this sport?
Why work so hard to get all those muscles if they're not going to display them to the world? (sigh)
That's all...

Let the Games Begin!

I'm so excited for the olympics this year and I probably couldn't even tell you why. I don't follow sports too closely, but there's something about seeing all the amazing atheletes and cheering on my country. I think I'm probably prouder to be an american during the olympics than during any other time. Go team USA!

Mary's married!
This past week I was able to go up to Salt Lake to my friend Mary's wedding. She was beautiful and I had a lot of fun seeing her and my other friends as well. Here are some photos of the blushing bride and the festivities.
They were married in the Bountiful, Utah temple which is absolutely beautiful. It was my first time inside and now I can say that I've been inside 22 different temples in 4 countries.
Here's me and my friend Tiffany as we wait outside the temple.
Here's the happy couple as they walked out of the temple.
Tiffany and I decorated the cake in an Ikebana (Japanese) style floral design. Seeing as how we're expert flower designers we took the liberty of creating the Ikebana style and including all the elements of 'Heaven' 'Man' and 'Earth'. I'm available if anyone else would like me to arrange flowers for them!
They set up a tent inside the church and it was very fun. They even had cotton candy for people to snack on!
The happy couple!
