Emptying the phone photos

As I was going through some pictures on my phone, I realized I take a lot of pictures with the intent to send them to my friends and make fun of the subject.

Like this one I took while driving down the road.

Nothing says "Easter" like slamming a stuffed bunny's ears in the back door of your van.

Or this one of AJ

He wasn't just staring at himself in the mirror... he was actually kissing his reflection... in the disgusting mirror at Walmart. (no wonder he has a cold sore...)

I also hold on to pictures that I may want to use in the future - to make fun of someone of course.

Like this one of Eliza

And Coral

And then I have pictures that I took that I didn't do anything with...

Like this one of my new niece Abigail. But we call her Avatar for short. I meant to do a blog post about her, but failed horribly as an aunt.

I bet I'm not the only one with random pictures in their phone. What's your weirdest picture.

Hoppy empty tomb day.

As my sister Eliza was sitting at story time the other day, somehow the word Easter was said to her daughter Audrey.

To which the snooty lady sitting nearby turned to her son and said "It's Christ's Resurrection".

Ahem, well excuuuuuuuuuuuse me.

I'm pretty sure there was a bunny that visited the empty tomb.

The Christ's Resurrection bunny.

So I'd like to wish everyone a happy Easter Christ Resurrection Day

So would Coral.

May you have fun celebrating while keeping the spirit of this special holiday alive.

She taught me to eat Artichokes

I'm not a fancy cook by any means, but when I saw that the artichokes were on sale I got inspired.

I've only had them dipped in butter sauce before, but I decided to go all out and make hollandaise sauce.

Just like Julia Child.

Here they are all prepped and ready to cook.

I made a chicken and stuffing dish to accompany the artichoke - since the artichoke was the main dish.

It was a hit with my honey, and Sophia loved chomping on the petals leaves green thingys too.

(Although she eats toilet paper, dirt, rocks, and her boogers so I'm not sure if she's the best critic.

The big test was going to be AJ. He's a very picky eater when it comes to new things. I wanted to prep him beforehand and make it seem really cool to eat artichokes.

I read him this book.

Yes, this is an actual book. Yes, I own it. Yes, it's slightly boring so I may have skipped the entire middle section and gone to the last page.

Then I had him help prep the artichokes and all the time told him how cool this vegetable is.

He was especially excited to get to the "heart" in the middle.

All my prepping worked, because he ate it right up.

(Or he really liked the hollandaise sauce)

Move over Jessica Seinfield - I'm coming up with my own way to get kids their vegetables!
