My new gambling addiction

Ok, remember how I spent last week in Reno and I said I have a new favorite pastime/obsession.

It's gambling.

No, seriously... it is.

More specifically, Craps.
That's me kissing the dice for luck. Yes, I own leather gloves...doesn't everybody?
I can't believe I've been living in Vegas for all these years, and I've never experienced the joy of craps.
It's fast paced, complicated, strategic, and fun. I don't play with my own money of course. That would be real gambling and I don't do that. (Except for the $10 lost to a penny slot machine, but shhhhhh, don't tell my mom)
But I had no problem playing with my boss's money. More specifically, he played - and I rolled the dice. I even won him some money.
Which he promptly lost as soon as I stopped rolling.
What can I say? I have a gift.
I tried not to cringe when he lost $100 in 30 mins, because hey, the guy next to us lost $200 in 20 mins and the old guy at the end of the table just threw down $1,000 to get some chips.
$1,000.00!!!!
It was all I could do to not give him a lecture on the dangers of gambling and to ask him if he wanted to give me $1,000.00 since the ROI would probably be about the same.
Instead I watched fascinated as he played with $25 chips. And here I was thinking a $5 chip was a lot to play with.
Do they realize I could probably get a new pair of pants and maybe a couple of shirts on sale for that one chip?
As my boss says, "You have to play big to win big."
To which I promptly replied, "Or lose big." But hey, who doesn't like a big loser? Get it? Big Loser.... Only the best show on Television.
But seriously, I need to play more craps. Not only is it cheap entertainment (if you don't have anything riding on it) but it's also pretty educational and you get to wear cheap clothes, lots of perfume, and cling to strangers. And maybe if you're lucky, you'll have one hit on you and offer to buy you a drink...while you're 6 months pregnant...and married...and mormon.
Anyone wanna go down to the Bellagio with me?

Free!

I've been MIA lately, but don't worry (I'm sure everyone has been losing sleep with worry) I'm still around. I've been around actually and I spent last week at a conference in Reno developing a new talent and simotaniously creating an obsession - which I'll have to share later.

The reason for this short post is that I'm free.

I'm as free falling as Tom Cruise in "Jerry McGuire"

(sorry, that's the best picture I could find.)

From my calling that is.

That's right, as of yesterday I'm no longer the Young Women's President.

"And there was much rejoicing and dancing in heaven"

And in my house too.

I haven't been able to wipe the smile off my face all day.

I imagine the girls feel the same way.
